On Monday, April 15, 2013 BERG Toys pedal karts were featured on NBC's Today Show segment "Retro Toys Make a Comeback". The BERG Classic Extra AF Sport and the BERG Buddy were both displayed and reviewed by Laurie Schacht, "The Toy Insider Mom" with Today Show co-host, Natalie Morales. The segment presented "Retro Toys" that are "Once again Hot"!　 The show was seen by more than three million (3,000,000) viewers according to Nielsen.

Balance Bikes for Bigger Kids

I often get calls form customers asking what kinds of bikes I have for bigger kids. Some are from parents of future NBA-ers that have sprouted up at an alarming rate, some are slower to catch on to balance and some may have learning disabilities.

The next bike I want to introduce is the brand new Strider Super 16 SS-1 Balance Bike from Strider Sports. Strider took their best-selling and award winning design of their 12" balance bike and have created a new 16" balance bikes for kids ages 6-10 years with an inseam between 17.5" and 25".  This bike is fantastic and I am already seeing this bike as a success as I have seen much interest form my customers who previously owned the 12" strider and wanted to try the next size up.  The bike has a standard caliper style hand brake, aluminum rims, low profile tires for less resistance and a powder coated finish for durability.  The bike is fantastic and retails for $189.00.  The price is a bit higher than the Glide Bikes Go Glider but will surely retain a great resale value.

There is an interesting new product from Strider Sports called the Snow Strider Ski Accessory.

Innovative way to transfer the use of your balance bike into the next season.  Now, this may not apply to those living in say San Diego who have the most ideal climate in the United States.  I for one being fom Wisconsin could see some added benefit for this accessory.
